Our Design Approach for RapidStart Marketing for Dataverse
Undoubtedly, there are many marketing solutions available today. However, we did not see the need to create yet another one. On the contrary, we did see a need to aggregate the signals coming from these applications into actionable intelligence to move engagers toward MQLs.
To address this, we have elected to integrate with Segment, the industry-leading CDP (Customer Data Platform). Specifically, we are targeting their “Team” plan as it is robust, yet reasonably priced at $120/mo. Consequently, this will allow aggregation of signals with all popular solutions.
Furthermore, another area of marketing value is the ability to identify your anonymous website visitors. Interestingly, while this is a relatively new area, there are already several players in the space. After extensive research, we found that Leadfeeder best met our criteria in terms of quality and value.
It’s worth noting that many of the individual marketing solutions you may be using have integrations with Dynamics 365 or Power Platform. However, their integrations are often narrowly focused on their specific product, providing a limited view of the relationship.
In contrast, RapidStart Marketing for Dataverse will combine the data from Segment and Leadfeeder, offering a panoramic profile of signals across all of these touchpoints. Essentially, this will provide a more holistic scoring capability. With this in mind, our overarching goal with RapidStart Marketing for Dataverse is to act as an “aggregator” of data, infuse it with meaning, and position it as the primary tool that marketers turn to for accomplishing their objectives.

Does RapidStart Marketing for Dataverse require RapidStart CRM?
No. This application is self-contained and can run on any environment with a Dataverse database, including Power Apps, Dynamics 365, or RapidStart CRM. If you are installing it on RapidStart CRM, you will need the RapidStart CRM Plus upgrade.
How is RapidStart Marketing for Dataverse licensed?
First, you will need Power Apps licenses from Microsoft. If you currently have Dynamics 365 licenses, those will work also.
We recommend a Power Apps Premium license for Power Users @ $20/pupm.
For regular users, we recommend a Power Apps Per App plan, @ $5/pupm.
You can purchase these from your Microsoft Partner.
You will also need our licenses for RapidStart Marketing.
This App adds two new Security roles to your Environment, “RapidStart Marketing Power User” and “RapidStart Marketing User”. Licensing is only required for users with either of these roles. There is a minimum quantity of 10 licenses.

Are there additional costs?
Yes, you will need a Segment subscription, and of course a subscription to whatever data sources you need, like MailChimp, etc.
How many Team Members can this support?
There is no technical limit on how many Marketing Team Members you can have. Hoever, tehre is a minimum license purchase of 10.
Can we cancel if this does not meet our needs?
You can cancel anytime, simply let us know and remove the solution from your environment.
Does this require Dynamics 365 Customer Insights?
No. This is our own Marketing Application, built on Power Apps, and is independent of Dynamics 365 Applications.
